The Barony of Donnershafen Welcomes You!!

 

  • Site Gate is Open at Friday 11am-10pm and Saturday 8am-2pm. 

  • Site activities begin Friday evening.

 

**Everyone must be clear of the site by 11am on Sunday. If you stay later than that, you will be charged a daily camping fee by the campground.

 

*Event Disclaimer:

This is a camping event in Northern Michigan in the Fall.

It may be warm with beautiful color, or freezing rain and snow. Please come prepared. Show off your best Winter wear!!  There will be a large fire to compensate.

Merchants

If you are a merchant and would like to set up a booth, please contact our Merchant Coordinator, Lady Oswin

No extra fee to merchant you wares but limited space is available. 

*The merchant space is not covered! If you want a covered space you will need to provide your own cover.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Culinary Events:

Breakfast Tavern: Saturday
  • Waffle Bar (Make your own) with various toppings
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Coffee/tea/cocoa
**Donations are appreciated to offset costs. 

Lunch Tavern: Saturday

$6/person

  • Meat or Vegetable hand pie

  • Fruit

  • Cookies

Cold lemonade will be available all day Saturday, free of charge.

Menu:
  • Oat Bannocks with Herbed Butter

  • Green Salad & Lentil Soup

  • Chicken & Dumplings with mixed Vegetables

  • Dessert - TBD

 

$12/person

The site is "Wet" and a valid ID must be shown at Gate.

 

The Legal Stuff:

  • Quiet and well behaved dogs are Welcome (on a leash)! Campground rules MUST be followed! ALL dogs must be on a physical leash (wireless not permitted). No dogs are to be left unattended unless they are kenneled.

  • Please do not dig fire pits. Braziers may be used but there is always a community Viking Bardic Fire which we hope will be bigger and better as it has improved every year!

  • As with all SCA Events, everyone must make an attempt at Garb.

  • Please be reminded, all scheduled activities must be approved by the Event Steward.

 

 

* We cannot guarantee that children will not be exposed to drunk Vikings who like to sing. If you truly wish to be removed from the main Bardic Area, please notify us and we'll make every effort to locate you to a more quiet area of the site.

The Venue, Rustic Rafters Cabins and Camping, is predominantly rustic camping with limited water/electric hook-up sites. 

All sites are first come, first serve, and will not be limited to one tent only. All water/electric amenities are to be shareable with the populace.

There are a small number of cabins/bunkhouses available to rent for $100 for the entire weekend. The campground host have stated that they will not limit the number of occupants, so gather your friends and save money! Cabin assignments will be given at gate check-in. If you have special needs, i.e., ramp, etc. please contact the event steward, Lady Oswin Elderkin @ event steward

Get early access! Come Thursday and get first pick to camping sites when you pre-reg and pre-pay!

This is a small campground and if you wish to bring your modern camper, please contact Lady Oswin Elderkin @ event steward and inform her of your intentions. We will keep space available, to the best of our abilities.

Site Fees:

($5 Member Discount will be applied at registration)

  • Adult - $20 (members $15)

  • Child (5-15) - $5 

  • Children Under 5 - Free

 

Camping: $15/tent or camper for the entire weekend. A very limited number of cabins are available for $100 for the entire weekend.

  • Pre-registration will be available through SCARS from July 11 until September 12, 2022.

  • To register:

    • Go to SCARS (https://members.sca.org/apps/#Mtgl.ist)

    • Be sure to change the Kingdom drop-down to MIDDLE to find the event!

    • Click on the Event Details button to the right of the event name

    • Click on the Register button to proceed – you will be required to log into the sca.org website before proceeding

    • Fill out all required information for yourself and each member in your family (if applicable) and click on the Register your Group button

    • Provide any additional information as requested on the screen, and click on Add to Cart. You will then be asked to put in your payment information.

    • Click on the Submit Payment and Complete Registration button to complete your registration
