Feast and Other Culinary Events:

Please note that at this time, events in the Midrealm are not allowed to have “communal food” which means we will not be having our breakfast and lunch taverns, or our feast.  All participants should plan on providing lunch / snacks / beverages for themselves, and are not allowed to share that food outside of their “small household”.

In lieu of our traditional feast, this year we encourage you to...

Bring Your Feast with You!!

At the time of planning, communal food is prohibited at Midrealm events, so we ask you to bring out your best table settings and set up your best Feast table!!

Picnic tables can be arranged for those unable to supply their own tables. Decorate your table with your best splendor!! Judges will view tables after court and choose a winner to be announced during Saturday night's bardic fire!

In addition, to really spice things up, bring your subtleties to your table!! What's a subtlety? It is food prepared to look like something else; roses made out of vegetables, bake bread to look like a castle or a viking ship cookie!! Let your imagination flow! Judges will view these the same time they are viewing the feast tables. Prizes will be awarded!!

Everyone must be clear of the site by noon on Sunday

The site is "Wet" and a valid ID must be shown at Gate.

The Legal Stuff:

  • Quiet and well behaved dogs are Welcome (on a leash)! Please do not leave them unattended.

  • Please do not dig fire pits. Braziers may be used but there is always a community Viking Bardic Fire which we hope will be bigger and better as it has improved every year!

  • As with all SCA Events, everyone must make an attempt at Garb.

  • Please be reminded, all scheduled activities must be approved by the Event Steward.

* We cannot guarantee that children will not be exposed to drunk Vikings who like to sing. If you truly wish to be removed from the main Bardic Area, please notify us and we'll make every effort to locate you to a more quiet area of the site.
